City of Anaheim

Anaheim is Orange County’s largest city and a global destination, blending its agrarian roots with a modern economy anchored by tourism, conventions, sports, and logistics.

About Anaheim

Home to the Disneyland Resort, the Anaheim Convention Center, Angel Stadium, and Honda Center, the city also boasts a revitalized historic core around the Anaheim Packing District. Diverse neighborhoods, strong healthcare and manufacturing sectors, and major freeway/rail access position Anaheim as a regional powerhouse.

Anaheim History

Founded in 1857 by German settlers as a wine‑growing colony along the Santa Ana River, Anaheim incorporated in 1876. After vineyard blight, it shifted to citrus and later suburban growth; Disneyland’s 1955 opening transformed it into an international tourism hub.
